A lil’ about me and why I blog…

I am 30 something and live in the Bay Area, California with my husband and baby girl. Born and raised in India, I have lived in the States since 2005. I am a trained architect and urban planner but have been a stay-at-home mom since I found out I was pregnant.

Home decor has always been my first love, my mom subscribed interior design magazines for me from when I was just a teenager. I loved looking at pictures of beautiful homes and dreamt of designing and living in them one day. My room was my canvas and I would go crazy decorating it, I once had orange and yellow closet doors and painted flowers all over the walls. My taste has evolved since (Thank God!) and I think it’s because of  the blogs I read and the amazing inspiration and resources they offer. I have been an avid design-blog reader since the past four years, I am almost obsessed with them and like most of us always love a good “before-after.” So, it was but natural that the thought often crossed my mind of starting my own blog, but I never took it seriously. However, this last birthday I was craving for a change in my life and in the spur of the moment decided to blog. Few weeks into it and Emily from JDC announced that she was starting a blog class, I then knew maybe God wanted this for me too. So here I am trying to create my own humble space in the blogosphere. So far, it has been a fun adventure!
